Illusion

Silhouettes against the day light
Glass wall at their backs
The end of a long dark hallway

Red linoleum flooring
Industrial
Acoustic ceiling
Helps us pretend
To be in rooms meant for
Work and focused thought

Occasionally a tile falls
And we see the darkened
Underbelly of the steel roof
The girders
Spiderwebs
Cables for communication
And light

In the corridor
Oblivious
They kiss
And whisper
